ALPHA - OMEGA

Over the last few years we have run the Alpha Course at Emmanuel – a nationwide discovery course exploring the meaning of life and the relevance of the Christian Faith.  Lots of people at Emmanuel have been on it and invited friends and family on it, and have gained a lot from it.

We are currently not running the whole Alpha Course.  Instead, we are offeringStart! , a similar but shorter course. If you would like to join a course which aims to allow you to explore the Christian faith, please contact either Elizabeth Snowden or Tina Hodgett. We would be pleased to hear from you.

Information of the original Alpha course:

Dates : Thursday Evenings.
Times : 7:30 p.m. for a meal.
8:15 p.m. video or talk by Peter Huxtable.
9:00 p.m. discussion time (tea/coffee).
9:30 p.m. approximate finishing time.
Venue : Emmanuel Church.
Bring : A pen would be useful as course booklet provided.

What is ALPHA?        

Alpha is an opportunity for anyone seeking to "explore the meaning of life".

Running for approximately ten weeks it aims to give people a basic understanding of the Christian faith, and offers the opportunity for people to ask any questions they may have in a warm open atmosphere.

The Alpha Course is a nationally recognised initiative and has been running for over fifteen years. In that time more than 2 million people in the UK have attended an Alpha Course, and it is estimated that over 8 million people world wide have now completed the course.
